5 tips for microblading

on February 28, 2022
Microblading is a technique where agility and technology is needed. In this blog I share 5 tips for microblading

Tip #1

The signs of the brows

One of the most important parts When signing the eyebrows, you can take your time for it. I am sometimes striking for 30 to 45 minutes to find the correct placement of the eyebrow and the right shape. I also explain this to my customers and I involve them in this process (as far as possible). I ask what they want or expect, the customer has the feeling that her experience and wishes also matter. People are often nervous before treatment and in this way you remove the uncertainty.

You can do the signs by means of Measuring, strings or a mall and this often happens while your customer is lying with closed eyes. Then I leave the customer sit and we look open with our eyes at, among other things, facial and symmetry. The optical face is very important so see what is happening and determine whether it is still need to be corrected. This is the time to make small adjustments within proportions (certainly not major changes) that can make the difference. Needs to be corrected, do so now.
To then save the shape, you can mark it by means of Set small dots around the contour of your drawing with a surgeon pen so that the shape remains clearly visible during the treatment.

At the end of the treatment I check again whether the shape and symmetry are correct while the customer is.

Tip #2

Tension

I use the 3-point stretch method during microblading. Span the skin while putting the strokes. You use your thumb, index finger and the little finger of your free hand. This results in a tight crispy stroke!

Tip #3

Strokes

When you start with microblads you have practiced the model on Latex and it is now in your head. After all, you are not allowed to cross so that the skin will open when a wiebertje is stolen.
Before you really start, it can help you to draw the strip with a pigment or your blade with a little pigment to draw the hairs. So you don't open the skin yet. In this way you can also properly determine what you will do at the front and possibly consult with your customer. She will feel involved and it only requires a little extra time. For me it works nice to achieve the result together with the customer and they are not shocked when seeing the end result.

Good information about what the customer can expect is super important!

Tip #4

The depth of the stroke

At the start of my career I was often too deep in the skin. This happens quickly and through experience I know that that is the art of microbe magazines. The "Sweet Spot" that's what it's all about. Exactly the right skin layer and with the right voltage, depth and speed. Bleeding does not say everything. Some customers are bleed quickly and others at all. Be careful and especially feel what you do. Go over the set stroke as often as necessary until it is filled and slightly thicker than a real hair. The stroke will shrink a little. As soon as you see a blue glow on the sides of your stroke, you are certainly too deep and it will also be difficult to be able to put other strokes nearby.

#5

The filling of the stroke

Filling the strokes can be done in different ways, but the most important thing is that you are exactly in the set stroke when you go through it again. This can be done with a smooth movement or by keeping your blade 90 degrees and going up and down very softly through the channel. You feel it when you're in it. If necessary, repeat this 2 to 3 times. Put little pigment on your blade and when you are ready, add a pigment mask over it, possibly add some warmth to the color. Leave this for a while but no longer than 5 minutes.
